I feel that at the user level it is very hard for us to know which product is environmentally friendly and which is not. Most of the times they make false claims in advertisements. Dont you think govt regulations, and rewarding mechanisms are more effective. This shifts the onus from the user for whom it is very hard to know what product is eco friendly to the govt and the manufacturer for whom it is possible to obtain this broader and more realistic view?
