Tax Credits for Pellet Stoves
by Deb Powers
So it's a press release - but it's still newsworthy because it's something few people will consider. The Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association point out in a press release that the tax credits for green heating appliances for your home include up to $1,500 in tax credits if you buy and install a pellet or wood stove that meets 75% energy efficiency standards before December 31, 2010. Those stoves use renewable energy sources, and can reduce your heating bills by up to 40%.
