Partnership creates Idea House

by Deb Powers

The local Sunday papers make for good reading sometimes. The Utah Salt Lake Tribune's feel-good story about a local Idea House has some great nuggets of information. Green jobs training at a local community college partnered with a Community Development Corp and the result: a foreclosed home refitted with green improvements, including insulation, greener appliances and a solar panel capable of generating all of its electricity - plus a class of electricians and technicians with new green job skills to add to their resumes.
