Europe Examines Barriers to Solar

A dozen European countries have launched the PV Legal initiative, an effort to examine the barriers that prevent the adoption of solar voltaic energy throughout Europe. The goal of the initiative is to examine the problems that have been experienced in the quest to increase solar PV adoption.

Solar loan will create 4000 jobs

The US Department of Energy has finalized a $503 million loan to Solyndra, a California company that makes cylindrical solar panels. The project will create 3,000 construction jobs and 1,000 permanent jobs in the green energy sector.
