Short Showers Save Water

Back in the 70s when we first started talking about water conservation, my favorite t-shirt read Save Water - Shower with a friend! California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger may not advocate showering with a friend, but he does believe in the power of short showers. In response to a question at an event at the Commonwealth Club, the Gov told the folks there that his kids were taking a stool into the shower to enjoy fifteen minute long showers. No more, he says. Now he times them - five minutes is long enough for anyone to get clean.
