Michael Yannell, a Chicago pharmacist, lives in a showpiece house with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and virtually no electricity cost because it generates as much electricity as it uses. Meanwhile, Willett Kemp is working on a way to use electric cars as batteries for renewable energy storage.
